The memoir I am reading is Stolen Innocence by Erin Merryn.
This book is about a girl who is seven years old and her cousin starts sexually assaulting her. She discusses the assaults but also her everyday life. She shares intimate details of her life and the assaults. She decided that she is going to advocate for all the young people who have faced assaults or other traumas.
I love this book. It is an overview of her life from the time she was seven until her adulthood. She talks about everything and I love it, it is just a diary. This is one of the best memoirs i have read!

I've learned...mostly just not to worry so much about the future.
ReplyDeleteAs a certain verse from the bible says (can't remember which one though) "Do not worry about tomorrow for today has enough troubles of it's own." ...or something like that.
That to live your life to the fullest. To live each day like it's your last, because you never know what is going to happen to you.
ReplyDeletethanks to alot of friends, i have learned to keep pulling through things that may seem against you, but no matter what, if your determined enough, you can and will accomplish many great things.
ReplyDeleteTo try your best to overcome them because anything is possible when you put your mind to it. zach
ReplyDeleteI have learned that no matter how bad things may seem, there is always someone there who loves you. It may be a friend, a girlfriend/boyfriend, or a family member, but even if you feel alone, there will always be someone on your side.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I come to a major obstacle, I take my time and step back to breathe. I don't let it get to me and I do what I can to make it through. When I do make it through, I smile. :)
